Meet Kaya Books and Magnetic Mini World (Meet Kaya book)

Get to know Kaya and her era (native American, 1764) better than ever through this set. Includes 1 magnetic playboard, 3 sheets of magnets, one booklet, one hardcover book, one paperback book, one audio CD, and one bookmark!

Kaya (pronounced KY-yah) is a Native American girl of the Nez Perce tribe. Kaya's full name is Kaya'aton'my, or "she who arranges rocks." Her story takes place in America's Northwest in the state of Idaho in 1764, before white settlers disturbed the Native American way of life in the west.

Kaya was introduced in 2002 and American Girl reportedly worked with a Nez Perce panel of consultants in creating her stories and collection. The Kaya doll has dark skin; dark brown eyes and braided hair; and a unique face mold not used for any other doll. In fact, Kaya is the only doll that does not smile with her mouth open, as baring one's teeth is considered offensive to Nez Perce peoples. Her collection and books do not follow the titling pattern established by previous dolls; instead the titles more accurately reflect the cycle of life in tribal society. A glossary is included for the many Nez Perce words and phrases, and many words are spelled phonetically.

Felicity Mini Doll (American Girl Collections)

Felicity Mini Doll (American Girl Collections) From American Girl Publishing Inc

Great - Overall a very nice doll. The attention to detail is great. The doll has a cloth body, and an intricate removable dress just like the big dolls. The $12.97 along with free shipping make it worth the price. It is very small ~ on the order of a Kelly doll. Only negative ~ the doll's hair is not really up to AG standards. The front it pinned back and the little tendrils are sweet but the pony tail leaves a lot to be desired. It is more on the order of Barbie hair and I am sure it will look ragged in no time. If I had paid $20 plus shipping I would have been very disappointed and sent it back. All that said ~ my daugther loves it! She received it for Easter along with the Felicity short story collection. I am sure she will be reenacting Felicity's adventures and now her big doll can have her own AG doll too. If the hair will be an issure for you and you don't need this particular doll you may want to consider Josefina with her nice tight braid.

a doll just like the regular-sized american gir ldolls!!
Looking for an american girl without the huge price, or a doll for your american girl doll? This felicity mini doll would be ideal for you. She really does move like a regular doll, and you can take off her clothes too. Her hair is shiny and reasonably untangled, and she comes with her own mini book, which is abriged. I really like this doll as a doll for my dolls. I wish that she could come with a line of clothes for mini dolls, though. Then, it would be really fun to own an american girl mini doll.

Josefina American Girl Doll Wearing Hello Kitty Outfit

Josefina Montoya was the sixth of the Historical Characters of the American Girl Dolls, representing the history of New Mexico under Mexican Rule (prior to ownership by the United States after the Mexican-American War). Josefina was introduced to the American Girls Collection in September 1997.

Josefina is loyal and hardworking. She is very encouraging and willing to help. Josefina normally acts as the family peacemaker between her sisters. She is on the shy side.

Like Kaya, Josefina's books are set in a time and place that is not part of America yet; at the time of her books Mexico is still owner of New Mexico. A majority of the southwest became part of America after the Mexican American War in 1848.

Ruthie is the 5th doll in the Best Friends collection and was released July 1, 2008 with a small collection in anticipation of the Kit movie. The Ruthie doll has an original facemold, dark brown curly hair and light gray eyes.
